Why Teyana Taylor For Xeomin Is So Important!

Facial Skin Treatments

If you’re a black woman or woman of color, there’s a good chance you’ve heard the phrase “black don’t crack.” But here’s the thing: it does. And when it does, it can be really frustrating. The good news? You don’t have to settle for this anymore! That’s why when Teyana Taylor announced that she was the new ambassador for Xeomin, a popular cosmetic treatment in the United States, we could not have been more excited.

In case you didn’t know…

Teyana Taylor is an African American woman who has a strong following from black women and women of color. She’s been featured in the pages of Vogue, on the cover of Complex Magazine, and has been on the arm of some of the most stylish men in Hollywood.

She’s also a star in her own right and is known for her gorgeous skin, which means that she’ll be able to use the platform to spread awareness about how important it is to take care of your skin.

But the fact of the matter is, when you think about cosmetic medicine and its history in America, it hasn’t been very diverse or inclusive at all—especially when it comes to race and gender identity.

With Teyana as the face of Xeomin, black women and women of color can finally see someone who looks like them as the face for a cosmetic treatment.

What exactly is Xeomin?

In case you’re not familiar with Xeomin, it’s a botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) product injected in the muscles around your eyes to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet and frown lines. It works by blocking signals from your nerves to your facial muscles, which relaxes those muscles so they can’t contract as much—and therefore lessens their effect on wrinkling. It’s been used for years and is considered safe and effective by medical professionals across the board.

Think of it as alternative to Botox; they do similar things but are just formulated a little differently.

Ok, so tell me why it matters

The message of her partnership with Xeomin is clear: If you want beautiful skin like Teyana’s, you have options! You can be beautiful at any age, and you can get results that make your skin look even better than it already does

And now that you know about Xeomin, there’s no reason not to try it out!

Teyana has beautiful skin and her smile is radiant, so when she talks about how much she loves her Xeomin injections, it makes sense to us—we don’t have to be convinced by science or statistics that they work. We can just look at Teyana Taylor and know we want those injections too!

More than anything else though, Teyana Taylor being the Xeomin ambassador is super important for black women and for the cosmetic industry in general for the representation. She is helping women with diverse skin types normalize the conversation about cosmetic medicine by showing that it doesn’t matter what age you are or what race you are; you can benefit from cosmetic aesthetics too.

It’s so important that we see people who look like us in ads for these products because it helps us see that these treatments are for us too—and it makes us feel comfortable talking about our own experiences with them.

We also love the openness and honesty with which Teyana shares her cosmetic procedures journey. She recently posted a video on Instagram where she talks about how she used to have issues with her skin breaking out when she would sweat or get too hot. She says that once she started using Xeomin at home, her skin cleared up almost immediately – Bet you didn’t know it could help with that! 😉

We’d bet most of us can relate to having breakouts and appreciate knowing that there are options out there to fix them.

The bottom line is, Teyana is not afraid to represent the diversity of women – and we’re here for it!
